The EDFH1 is a state-of-the-art EDM machine that is best for fine-hole machining of increasingly tinier holes with higher accuracy.
In response to diversifying demand, the EDFH1 can machine fine holes automatically using pipe electrodes, solid electrodes (fine tungsten electrodes) and shaping electrodes, as well as facilitating ordinary sinker EDM operations.
Makino's newly developed MA head suppresses deflection to 2 μm, enabling the machining of ultra-fine holes 0.01 mm in diameter with a 0.006 mm diameter shaping electrode.
